Live Scan:
Live Scan is an electronic submission of scanned fingerprint impressions to conduct criminal offender record information (CORI) or commonly known as “Background Check”. The scanned prints are submitted to the California State Department of Justice and the FBI, if applicable, to help determine the suitability of person applying for a license, employment or volunteer position.
The Department of Justice and the FBI have set rates for their background checks, which may also include a Child Abuse Index clearance and Firearm clearance where applicable.
On the Live Scan application, there is a code called the ORI, and a series of numbers/letters to follow. That code determines the type of background check required as well as the fees. If you have this code, please feel free to contact our office for pricing.
Live Scan office hours are from 10am-6pm Monday-Friday by appointments only. We also can accommodate early/late and Saturday appointments by special request.
We also provide mobile services for groups of 5 and more.
